Annual MC conference venue in Brisbane, re-classified to Schedule 8 (S8) Controlled Drug Storage Facility, for duration of 2 day conference

The venue that will hold the 2026 annual MC conference decided to swiftly apply for a storage license for the pure purpose of accomodating brand owners and their exec teams to the event scheduled for the end of February, in Brisbane.

Venue management said with the amount of medicinal cannabis anticipated to be brought to event, they felt it safer and more compliant to acquire a temporary license for the 2 day event. "These guys bring jars and jars of the stuff, we understand its an effective medicine, so want to accomodate these people, give them a safer safe space", said venue management.

While numbers of people booked to fly up to Brisbane are unknown at this stage, its said that 90% of attendees claim to be bringing 'fire'. Of them, a further 78% have no intentions of seeing a speaker at the event, only fire.
